Abstract

Doğum korkusu kadının gebelik öncesi, gebelik ve doğum sonrası süreçlerini olumsuz yönde etkileyebildiği için önemli bir sorundur. Doğum korkusuna sebep olan en önemli faktör, önceki gebeliklerde veya önceki doğumlarda yaşanmış olumsuz tecrübelerdir. Doğum korkusu gebelik süresince kadının stresli olmasına yol açar, doğum sırasında ise doğum eyleminin uzamasına sebep olarak acil sezaryen riskini artırır. Gebelik öncesi dönemde yeterli eğitim verilmesi ve gebelikte psikolojik destek sağlanması, doğum korkusu düzeyini azaltarak hasta uyumunu artırabilir ve isteğe bağlı sezaryen oranını düşürebilir
