Abstract

Siyasal Partiler başarılı olmak için propaganda yapmak zorundadırlar.
Demokrasilerde de totaliter rejimlerde de böyledir. CHP'nin tek parti
iktidarı Türkiye'de 27 yıl sürmüştür. Parti o dönemde pek fazla
propaganda yapmamıştır. Çünkü rakipsizdir, yarışma ihtiyacı duymamıştır.
Ama Demokrat Parti kurulunca bir yarış başlamıştır. CHP bundan ötürü
propagandaya ihtiyaç duymuştur. Böylece bu dönemde bir propaganda ve
yayın bürosu kurmuş ve daha ciddî propagandaya başlamıştır. Ancak
propaganda sloganlarını daha çok Milli Mücadele ve Atatürk üzerinde
yoğunlaştırmıştır. Hâlbuki DP, C.H.P. ile mukayese edildiğinde daha
etkili olmuştur. Çünkü D.P. politik propagandalarını daha ziyade halkın
ihtiyaçlarını, adaleti ve ülke kalkınmasını üzerine dayandırmıştır.
