What is the scope of Ordu Divinity — is it national or international?

ORDU DIVINITY, NATIONAL OR INTERNATIONAL?

According to ÜAK, a “Published Article” that can be used in the application for Associate Professorship is “an original article published in print or electronic media, provided that it has contributed to science in its field”. According to this definition, original articles published in print or e-journals can be used in associate professorship applications (Source: ÜAK).

The application requirements for associate professorship vary according to the field of science.

In general, there are two categories in the application requirements: “National Article” and “International Article”.

If we look at these conditions in the “Theology Science Field”, there are two subcategories of national article:

a) Article published in NATIONAL refereed journals scanned by ULAKBIM - 10 POINTS

b) Article published in national refereed journals other than subparagraph a - 5 POINTS

According to this table, our journal has a point value of 5 points in the category of national peer-reviewed journals other than item a according to the requirements for associate professorship. However, it is not yet in the category of national articles scanned by ULAKBIM. Our application to TR Index has been realized. Our journal is in the evaluation process in this context.

There are three sub-categories of INTERNATIONAL articles in the “Theology Science Field”:

a) Article published in a journal within the scope of SCIE or SSCI: 10-30 POINTS

b) Article published in a journal within the scope of AHCI: 20 POINTS

c) Article published in a journal in ESCI or Scopus: 10 POINTS

d) Article published in a journal in other international indexes: 5 POINTS

e) Letter to the editor, research note, abstract or book review published in a journal within the scope of subparagraphs a, b, c or d of this article: 3 POINTS

According to this table, the point value of our journal Ordu İlahiyat in the international article category in associate professorship applications is 5 points in category d and 3 points in category e as of 2025.
