Orta Öğretim Öğrencilerinin İnternet Ve Oyun Bağımlılık Düzeylerinin İncelenmesi
Abstract
Abstract: The use of the developing technology simplifies our daily lives. However, the overuse of the technology affects the human beings in a negative way. That the over and unnecessary use of the computers, which is the most commonly used technological device today, is accepted as an important problem. This study aims to signify if the internet and game addictions of the secondary education students differentiate according to their grades, school types and genders. The working group of the study is composed of totally 268 students, 119 girls and 149 boys who are all students of secondary education in 2013-2014 education year, in Fatsa, a town of Ordu. According to the result of the study, there is not significant correlation between gender and internet-game addiction. The study reveals that there is diversity between Anatolian High School and Health Vocational High School students and between Vocational Religious High School and Health Vocational High School students when the level of the internet addiction is compared according to the school types. There is not much correlation between game addiction levels and school types. However, there is significant correlation between grades and the level of the internet addiction. There is diversity among 9th, 10th and 11th grade students. The study shows that the internet addiction level of the 11 th grade students is the highest. There is not significant correlation between grades and the level of the game addiction.
