Abstract

Although the earlier period of Cilician exports is still uncertain except
the commerce of grain to Cyprus which was rather important during the
Classical Period1, the archaeological evidence, such as coins but mainly
amphorae points out an agricultural production of this region. This issue
will be the focus of argument in this paper.
