Flunitrazepam (Rohypnol) ‘In İndüksiyon Amacı İle Ve Devamlı İnfüzyon Şeklinde Kullanımı

Abstract

Flunitrazepam was given to 40 patients with a mean age of 35.6 ± 2.4 to evaluate its use as an induction agent and continuous infusion in addition to inhalation anaesthesia. Mean induction dose of flunitrazepam was 2.16 ± 0.09 mg and it had dépressif action on cardiovascular and respiratory functions.Changes in blood pressure were reversed with the effect of intubation. Respiratory depression was considered an advantage in cases where respiration was assisted or controlled. In addition to inhalation anaesthetics patients were given flunitrazepam infusion in two strengts and the speed of infusion was 0.060 ± 0.007 and 0.0800 +_ 0.009 mg/kg/hour respec¬tively. Concentration of halothane did not exceed 0.4-0.6 %. Post¬operative sedation provided by flunitrazepam was long lasting and this was considered advantage in some cases and disadvantage in the others.
