Kronik Otitis Medianın Kafa İçi Komplikasyonlarının Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

✓ Evaluation of intracranial complications due to chronic otitis media The case records of 30 patients with intracranial complications due to chronic otitis media are reviewed. Cholesteatoma with or without granulation tissue in the mastoid cavity was found in 22 patients. Meningitis was the most common complication. There were four deaths, one for meningitis and three for brain abscess. Dry ears were obtained after surgery in 63 percent of the patients. Intracranial complications developed in two patients after mastoidectomy. . ✓ Kronik otitis media.sonucu kafa içi komplikasyon gelişen 30 hasta incelendi. 22 hastada granülasyon dokusu ile beraber veya yalnız başına kolesteatom bulundu. Menenjit en sık görülen komplikasyondu. Biri menenjit üçü beyin absesinden olmak üzere 4 hasta öldü. Cerrahi müdahaleden sonra hastaların %63'ünde kuru kulak elde edildi. İki hastada mastoidektomiden sonra yeniden kafa içi komplikasyon gelişti.
