Kemik Bankası Ve Allogreft Uygulaması

Abstract

Bone Banking and Allograft Studies For many years, bone banks have supplied surgeons with allograft bone. These banks have provided chiefly freeze-dried bone, which has been of great value to orthopaedists. Bone bank studies in Karadeniz Technical University Medical Faculty Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology were started at January 1998. Between January 1998 and May 2000,150 allografts were collected for bone bank (100 from total hip prosthesis, 35 from total knee prosthesis, 8 from femoral neck fracture, 4 from shortening osteotomy, 3 from'high-tibial osteotomy). Allografts from bone bank were used in 97 cases for several indications. Mean age was 38 years (range 4-75). In this study, the aim of the construction of the bone bank, graft harvesting, keeping, using and results are reported. Our study correlates well with the other studies in the literature that, deep-frozen allografts shorten operation time, easy to use, safe, economic, high osteogenic potential, decreased blood loss, decreased donor site morbidity, good alternatives to autogenous grafts. Kemik bankaları yıllardır allogreft sağlamaktadır. Bu dondurulmuş greftin ortopedistlerce büyük değeri vardır. Kliniğimizde kemik bankası Ocak 1998'de faaliyete başlamıştır. Ocak 1998- Mayıs 2000 tarihleri arasında 150 allogreft (100 tanesi total kalça protezi, 35 tanesi total diz protezi, 8 tanesi femur boyun kınğı. 4 tanesi kısaltma osteotomisi, 3 tanesi yüksek tibial osteotomi vakalarında) bankamıza kaydedildi. Çeşitli endikasyonlarda toplam 97 vakada allogreft kullanıldı. Alıcıların ortalama yaşı 38 idi. Bu çalışmada kliniğimizde kurduğumuz kemik bankasının amacı, greft elde etme, saklama, kullanma şartlan ve sonuçları sunulmuştur. Derin dondurulmuş allogreftlerin ameliyat süresini kısaltması, kullanım kolaylığı, yararlı, güvenilir, ekonomik, osteojenik aktiviteyi artırması kan kaybını azaltması, donör saha morbiditesini azaltması ve otojen grefte iyi bir alternatif olması gibi özelikleri pek çok çalışmada vurgulandığı gibi bizim de çalışmamızda göze çarpan özelliklerdi
