Abstract

Tiroit bezinden kaynaklanan hastalıklar toplumda oldukça yaygın görülmektedir. Özellikle halk arasında “guatr” olarak bilinen tiroit bezi hiperplazisi ve tiroit nodülleri önemli bir sağlık sorunudur. Gerek günlük klinik pratikte gerekse tiroit cerrahisinde tiroit bezinin anatomik yapısının iyi bilinmesi önem arzetmektedir. Bu derlemede tiroit bezinin embriyolojisinden başlayarak tiroit anatomisi detaylı olarak ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır.

Abstract

Thyroid gland diseases are very common conditions. Especially hyperplasia of thyroid gland and thyroid nodules which are publicly known as goitre is important health problem. A well knowledge of anatomy of the thyroid gland is important for routine clinical practice and thyroid surgery. In this paper, we tried to present a detailed anatomy of the thyroid gland starting from its embryology.
