SUMMARY ULTRASONOGRAPHY OF THE FETAL CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM ANOMALIES AND THE DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS: REPORT OF 21 CASES

Abstract

In this reports ultrasound findings of prenatally diagnosed 21 cases with central nervous system anomalies and 4 cases with fetal extra nervous system anomalies that should be thought in differential diagnosis including 3 cases with cystic hygroma, and 1 . case with sacral teratoma are presented.

Of the 21 cases with central nervous system anomalies diagnosed between July 1987 and May 1990, 9 cases had encephalocele, 4 cases had hydrocephalus, 1 case had holoprosencephaly, 1 case had choroid plexus cyst, and 1 case had lumbosacral myelomeningocele.

Fetal Santral Sinir Sistemi Anomalileri Ve Ayırıcı Tanısında Ultrasonografi: 21 Olgu

Abstract

Temmuz 1987 - Mayıs 1990 tarihleri arasında Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Radyoloji Bilim Dalında prenatal dönemde ultrasonografi ile tanı konarı 21 fetal santral sinir sistemi anomalisi ve ayırıcı tanısında yer alan 4 anomalinin ultrasonografi bulguları incelenmiştir. 9 olguda anensefali, 1 olguda gövde—ekstremite kompleksi ve berabe¬rinde anensefali, 4 olguda ensefalosel, 4 olguda hidrosefa¬li» 1 olguda holoprosenesefali, 1 olguda koroid pleksus kisti, 1 olguda lumbosakral myelomeningosel, 3 olguda kistik higroma ve 1 olguda sakral teratoma izlenmiştir.
