*/ Metastasis of carcinoid tumors in childhood are very rare. A boy 11 years old operated with preoperative diagnosis of acute appendicitis. At the operation carcinoid tumor arising from the appendix and widespread metastases to the regional lymph nodes and liver were found. On the postoperative period, chemoterapy was started and after 6 mounts of follow up the patient was clinically well. This case is discussed in the light of the literature re¬view.
