Incidence of Gardnerella Vaginalis in Patients Who Has Vaginal Discharge
Sixty patients between 15-45 ages, who had vaginal discharge were investigated for G. vaginalis. G. vaginalis was isolated from 8 (13.3%) of 60 patients. G. vaginalis was detected in 4 (66.6%) of 6 patients with clue cell positivity and 7 (70%) of 10 patients with fishy odor after application of KOH. Vaginal pH was equal to or greater than 4.5 in all culture positive patients. G. vaginalis was detected in 4 (21.1%) of 19 and 4 [9.8%) of 41 (68.3%) patients with homogenous and non homogenous vaginal secretion, respectively.
Vaginal akıntısı olan 15-45 yaş arası 60 hasta Gardnerella vaginalis (G. vaginalis) yönünden araştırılmıştır. Bu 60 hastanın 8 (%13.3)'inde G. vaginalis izole edilmiştir. Clue cell pozitifliği saptanan 6 (%10) hastanın 4 (%66.6)'ünde, KOH testinde balık kokusu (fishy odor) saptanan 10 (%16.6) hastanın 7 (%70)'sinde G. vaginalis üretilmiştir. Kültürü pozitif hastaların hepsinde de vagen pH'sı 4.5 ve üzerinde tespit edilmiştir. Homojen akıntısı olan 19 hastanın 4 (%21.1)'ünde non homojen akıntısı olan 41 hastanın 4 (%9.8)'ünde G. vaginalis saptanmıştır.
