Abstract

Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF) is clinically characterized by fever, haemorrhage, gastrointestinal symptoms and laboratory by lower platelet count, abnormal liver enzymes and other rare findings. In differential diagnosis of these symptoms and thrombocytopenia, abnormal liver enzymes, CCHF may be over-diagnosed and push the other diagnosis background because its contagious nature and mortality. Its over-diagnosis can cause unnecessary isolation. We present a case with cirrhosis and urinary tract infection but misdiagnosed as CCHF.

Year 2017, , 95 - 97, 02.03.2017
https://doi.org/10.21601/ortadogutipdergisi.294877
