Abstract

Intraabdominal abscesses occur rarely due to Candida species. The most important specific risk factors that cause this kind of abscesses are surgical operations, gastrointestinal perforations and gastrointestinal anastomotic leaks. Non-specific risk factors include; diabetes mellitus, immunosuppression, prolonged antibiotic use and admission to intensive care unit. In this article, a 63 year-old female patient’s, who had previously undergone extensive spectrum antibiotic treatment, intraabdominal abscess case occurred due to Candida glabrata is presented.

Candida glabrata’ya bağlı gelişen intraabdominal apse: olgu sunumu

Year 2019, , 345 - 348, 01.09.2019
