Pfapa sendromunda yeni öngörücü parametreler: nötrofil lenfosit oranı ve trombosit lenfosit oranı

Abstract

Amaç: Bu çalışmada Pfapa sendromu tanısı konulan ya da Pfapa sendromu ön tanısıyla takip edilen hastalarda nötrofil lenfosit oranı (NLO) ve trombosit lenfosit oranı (TLO) değerleri arasındaki ilişki araştırıldı.
Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışmaya Pfapa sendromu tanısı konulmuş ya da Pfapa sendromu ön tanısıyla takip edilen 30 hasta (Pf grup) (16 erkek, 14 kadın; ort. yaş 3,33; dağılım 1-21 yıl) ile 30 sağlıklı birey (15 erkek, 15 kadın; ort. yaş 4,01 yıl; dağılım 1-23 yıl) (kontrol grubu) dahil edildi. Pfapa ve kontrol grubunun NLO ve TLO değerleri hesaplandı ve istatistiksel olarak karşılaştırıldı.
Bulgular: Ortalama NLO değeri Pf grubunda 2,21, kontrol grubunda ise 1,75 idi ve bu farklılık istatistiksel olarak anlamlıydı (p=0,001). Ortalama TLO değeri Pf grubunda 120,76, kontrol grubunda ise 109,82 idi fakat bu farklılık istatistiksel olarak anlamlı değildi (p=0,073).
Sonuç: Pfapa sendromu tanısı konulan hastalarda kolay uygulanabilen ve düşük maliyetli testler ile elde edilen NLO değeri yeni bir belirteç olarak kullanılabilir. Trombosit lenfosit oranı değeri için ise daha geniş hasta serili yeni çalışmalara ihtiyaç vardır.

New predictive parameters of Pfapa syndrome: neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio and platelet to lymphocyte ratio

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to investigate the correlations between Pfapa (Pf) syndrome or following with Pfapa syndrome diagnosed with neutrophil to lymphocyt ratio (NLR) and platelet to lymphocyte ratio (PLR).
Material and Method: The study included 30 patients (16 males, 14 females; mean age 3.33 years; range 1 to 21 years) diagnosed as Pfapa (Pf group) and 30 healthy individuals (15 males, 15 females; mean age 4.01 years; range 1 to 23 years) (control group). Neutrophil to lymphocyte and PLR ratio values of Pf and control groups were calculated and statistically compared.
Results: Mean NLR value was 2.21 in the Pf group and 1.75 in the control group with a statistically significant difference (p=0.001). Mean PLR value was 120.76 in the Pf group and 109.82 in the control group with a statistically insignificant difference (p=0.073).
Conclusion: Neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio value may be used as a novel marker that is easily administered in patients with Pfapa Syndrome and obtained with low-cost tests. New studies with larger patient series are needed for the value of PLR.
