foramen ovale (PFO) is a flap-like potantial space on the interatrial septum,
which is present in approximately 20-25% of the population. Thrombus entrapped
in PFO, which causes simultaneous pulmonary and systemic embolism, is a rare finding.
This report describes a patient, in whom a trombus entrapped in PFO was detected
by echocardiography and the patient developed thromboembolic cerebrovascular accident
two days after the thrombolytic therapy.

foramen ovale (PFO) interatrial septum üzerinde, toplumun %20-25' inde
