Amputasyon güdüğünde Citrobacter freundii’ye bağlı postoperatif osteomyelit gelişen olgu

Abstract

olabilmektedir; nadiren osteomyelite neden olabilir.

Postoperative osteomyelitis case due to Citrobacter freundii in amputation stump

Year 2018, Volume: 10 Issue: 3, 400 - 402, 30.09.2018

Abstract

Osteomyelitis due to Gram negative bacilli is rarely
reported, it can be seen especially in patients with underlying diseases as sickle
cell anemia or intravenous drug abuse. Citrobacter
freundii
is a Gram-negative bacilli in the Enterobacteriaceae family and it may cause urinary tract infections,
pneumonia, bacteremia, sepsis, intraabdominal infections and central nervous
system infections, but rarely osteomyelitis.

In this article, we present a 38 year old male patient
who underwent amputation after a gunshot injury and developed postoperative osteomyelitis
on amputation region due to C. freundii.
