Boyunda Desmoid Tümör

Year 2015, Volume: 7 Issue: 4, 54 - 55, 01.12.2015

Abstract

Desmoid Tumor Of The Neck

Year 2015, Volume: 7 Issue: 4, 54 - 55, 01.12.2015

Abstract

Desmoid tumor is formed by musculoaponeurotic cells which transformes to fibroblastic changes,is a benign tumor although it represents malign characteristics. It usually occurs at abdominal region after traumas; its hard to come by at head neck region.surgical and wide excision is the choosen treatment option.but because of its agressive behaviour, complete treatment can’t be done all the time; reccurrence can be seen of a high percentage even after the surgical excision with negative surgical borderlines. In our article,a desmoid tumor which was settled upon the sternocleidomastoid muscle and treated with wide local excision,is being discussed with literature knowledgment
