Abstract
Kitap, Arap milliyetçiliğinin ortaya çıkışının başlangıcından bahsetmektedir. Yazar kitabın girişinde milliyetçilik kavramının ortaya çıkışını ve dünyaya nasıl yayıldığını anlatmakta. Kitap aynı zamanda Britanya ve Fransa gibi sömürgeci güçlerin, Arap milliyetçilik hareketlerini başlangıcından bu yana desteklemedeki rolünü ve Arap milliyetçiliği teorisyenlerini entelektüel ve kültürel olarak etkilemedeki rolünü de tartılmıştır.

يتحدث الكتاب عن بداية ظهور القومية العربية. كما يسرد الكاتب في مقدمة الكتاب ظهور مفهوم القومية وكيف انتشر حول العالم. وناقش الكتاب دور القوى الاستعمارية كبريطانيا وفرنسا في دعم الحركات القومية العربية منذ نشأتها. وأيضاً دور هذه الدول في التأثير فكرياً وثقافياً على المنظرين للقومية العربية. وفي الأخير شرح الكاتب الوضع الراهن للقومية العربية .

The book discussed the role of colonial powers such as Britain and France in supporting Arab national movements since their inception.
