JOURNAL WRITING GUIDELINES
- Articles submitted to the Journal of Osmaniye Korkut Ata University Economics and Administrative Sciences Faculty should not exceed 25 pages in the journal format.
- Articles should be A4 size, with 3 cm margins at the top and 2.5 cm margins on the bottom, right, and left sides.
- The text of submitted articles should be written in "Office Word" using "Times New Roman" font, single-spaced, justified, and 12-point size. Paragraph indentation should be one tab (1.25 cm), and a 6nk space should be left after each paragraph.
- The Turkish and English titles of the article must be centered, written in bold capital letters, using Times New Roman, 12-point font. One line space below the Turkish title, the author’s title, first name, and last name (last name in capital letters) should be written in 11-point font and aligned to the right. The author’s institutional affiliation, e-mail address, ORCID ID, and corresponding author information must be provided as a footnote in 9-point font with single line spacing. Leaving one line space below the author’s name and surname, the Turkish heading “Özet” should be placed left-aligned. The abstract text must be written in 11-point font, single-spaced, and justified on both sides. The Turkish abstract must not exceed 150 words. Below the Turkish abstract, Turkish keywords consisting of at least three and at most five words must be included. After the Turkish keywords, one line space should be left and the English title should be written. The English abstract (Abstract) should appear below the English title. The spelling and formatting rules for the English abstract are the same as those for the Turkish abstract. If the language of the manuscript is English, a Turkish abstract and keywords must be provided after the English abstract. Journal of Economic Literature (JEL) classification codes must be added below the keywords. These codes should be written in 11-point Times New Roman, similar to the keywords. - The introduction section of the article must start on the page following the Turkish and English abstracts. In the main text, primary headings must be numbered, left-aligned (without indentation), and written in bold capital letters. Subheadings and lower-level headings must be numbered and written in bold with initial capital letters, left-aligned, leaving one tab space from the left margin. 6-point space must be left after primary, secondary, and tertiary headings.
- Tables, graphs, and figures must be placed within the relevant part of the text and arranged so that they do not exceed the page margins. The table or graph number and title must be centered above the table, written in Times New Roman, 12-point font, single-spaced, with the first letter of each word capitalized. The figure number and caption must be provided below the figure. Tables, figures, and graphs should be displayed on a single page and should not extend to the next page. The text within tables, figures, and graphs should be between 8 and 10 points.
- Citations and references must be prepared in accordance with the rules of the APA 6 (American Psychological Association) style. Accordingly, citations must be provided within the text. Direct (verbatim) quotations taken exactly from a source must be written in italics, enclosed in quotation marks, and formatted with a one-tab paragraph indent (1.25 cm). A 6-point space must be left after the paragraph. Explanatory notes must be presented as footnotes at the bottom of the page in 9-point font.
- Citations within the text should be made according to the following format:
Citations for single-authored publications: (Author's Last Name, Year, p. page number); (Author's Last Name, Year)
Citations for two-authored publications: (First Author's Last Name and Second Author's Last Name, Year, p. page number); (First Author's Last Name and Second Author's Last Name, Year)
Citations for three or more authored publications: (First Author's Last Name et al., Year, p. page number); (First Author's Last Name et seq., Year)
Citing multiple sources: (Author Last Name, Year, p. page number; Author Last Name, Year, p. page number); (Author Last Name, Year; Author Last Name, Year)
Citing the entire source: (Author Last Name, Year)
Citing sources without an author name: (Institution name, Year, p. page number); (Institution name, Year).
9. The heading “References” must appear immediately after the conclusion section, written in bold capital letters and without numbering. Only the works cited in the manuscript should be included in the reference list. References must be arranged alphabetically according to the first author’s last name and the initial of the first name. A hanging indent of 1.25 cm must be applied in the reference list. If an author has more than one publication, these works should be ordered chronologically. If an author has multiple publications in the same year, letters such as a, b, etc., must be added next to the year of publication.
