Clay-shoveler’s fracture: 4 Case report

Abstract

Clay-shoveler’s fracture is isolated fracture of spinous process which is derived from extreme stretching force. It is a rare type of fracture, usually occurs at C7 and T1 levels. The most prominent symptom is pain at the level of the fractured spine. Generally most of the patients are treated conservatively. Surgical treatment is indicated for only a small group of patient. In this report, four case of conservatively treated and followed Clay-shoveler’s fracture are reported

Clay Shoveler’s fraktürü: 4 Olgu sunumu

Abstract

Clayshoveler’sfraktürü; aşırı gerilme sonucu meydana gelen vertebra spinöz proçeslerin izole kırığıdır. Nadir görülen bir fraktür olup, sıklıkla C7 ve T1 vertebra spinöz proçesleri etkilenir. En sık görülen semptom kırık düzeyinde ağrıdır. Cerrahi tedavi çok az hastada endike olmakla birlikte genellikle konservatif tedavi uygulanmaktadır. Bu yazıda, konservatif yaklaşımla tedavi ve takip ettiğimiz 4 olgu sunulmuştur
