Abstract

Bu çalışmada, Duchenne Muskuler Distrofi (DMD) ve Dikkat Eksikliği Hiperaktivite (DEHB) tanılı çocuklarınannelerinin yaşam kalitelerinin sağlıklı kontrollerle karşılaştırarak araştırılması amaçlanmıştır. DMD tanısı ileizlenmekte olan 16, DEHB tanısıyla izlenmekte olan 19 ve sağlıklı gönüllülerden oluşan 28 çocuğun anneleriçalışmaya alınmıştır. Tüm olguların annelerine sosyodemografi k veri formu uygulanmış, Dünya Sağlık ÖrgütününYaşam Kalitesi Ölçeği (WHOQOL-BREF TR) verilerek yanıtlamaları istenmiştir. Kontrol grubuna göre, DMDtanılı annelerin WHOQOL-BREF TR’nin bedensel sağlık alanı ve ruhsal sağlık alanı puan ortalamaları anlamlıolarak düşük saptanmıştır. Kontrol grubuna göre, DEHB tanılı annelerin WHOQOL BREF TR’nin bedenselsağlık alanı puan ortalamaları anlamlı olarak düşük bulunmuştur. DMD tanılı çocukların anneleri ile DEHBtanılı çocukların anneleri arasında WHOQOL BREF TR puan ortalamaları bakımından fark saptanmamıştır.Sonuçlarımız çocukluk çağındaki DEHB’nin annelerin yaşam kalitesini DMD kadar olumsuz etkilediğini ortayakoymaktadır.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyze the quality of life of mothers of children with Duchenne muscular dystrophy(DMD) and attention defi cit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Participants of this study were; 16 mothers ofchildren with DMD, 19 mothers of children with ADHD, and 28 mothers of healthy children. WHOQOL-BREFScale and demographic information questionnaire were given to all mothers. The physical and psychologicalhealth subscale scores of WHOQOL-BREF Scale were signifi cantly lower in mothers of children with DMD whencompared to control groups. The Physical health subscale scores of WHOQOL-BREF Scale were signifi cantlylower in mothers of cildren with ADHD when compared to control groups. There were no signifi cant differencesbetween mothers of children with DMD and mothers of children with ADHD in terms of subscale scoresof WHOQOL-BREF Scale. Results suggest that life quality of mothers of children with ADHD are infl uencednegatively like mothers of DMD.
