Abstract

Arka mediasten kitleleri nadir görülmekle birlikte en sık rastlanılan grubu nörojenik tümörler meydana getirir.Periferik sinir kılıfından köken alan nörofi brom ve nörilemmomlar (schwannoma) en sık gözlenirler. Yıllarcaasemptomatik geç dönemde tanı konan schwannomalara eskimiş (ancient) schwannoma denir. Biz de böyle birolguyu ilgili literatür eşliğinde sunmayı uygun bulduk.

Asymptomatic Ancient Schwannoma

Abstract

Although the posterior mediastinal masses are seen rarely, the most common are neurofi bromas andneurolemmomas (schwannoma) which originate from periferic nerve sheats. The late diagnosed cases whichhave been asymptomatic for years are called ancient schwannoma. We would like to report the clinical andpathological fi ndings and review of the literature.Pam Med J 2010;3(2): 104-105
