Abstract
AMAÇ: Bu çalışmada, preeklamptik ve normal gebelerde trombosit parametrelerinin karşılaştırılması amaçlandı.YÖNTEMLER: Bu retrospektif araştırmaya, preeklampsi tanısı almış 60 hasta ve kontrol grubu olarak 75sağlıklı gebe kadın dahil edildi. Gruplar trombosit sayısı, trombosit krit (PCT), ortalama trombosit hacmi (MPV) ve trombosit dağılım aralığı (PDW) yönünden karşılaştırıldı. İki grup arasındaki parametrelerin karşılaştırılması için bağımsız örneklem t-testi kullanıldı.BULGULAR: Preeklampsi grubunda bulunan hastaların yaş ortalaması 29,2±5,6 ve kontrol grubunda bulunan gebelerin yaş ortalaması 28,9±4,5 idi. Her iki grup arasında yaş ortalaması ve gestasyon haftaları yönünden anlamlı fark yoktu (P>0.05). Preeklampsi grubunda ortalama trombosit sayısı (x103/μL) 225,5±88,8 ve kontrol grubunda 231,7±45,8 bulundu ve gruplar arasında anlamlı fark yoktu (P>0.05). Ortalama PCT değeripreeklampsi grubunda 0,20±0,08, kontrol grubunda 0,20±0,04 saptandı ve iki grup arasında anlamlı fark yoktu (P>0.05). Preeklampsi grubunda ortalama MPV değeri kontrol grubundan anlamlı olarak daha yüksek bulundu (sırasıyla; 9,6±1,6 ve 8,8±1,2) (P=0.012). Ortalama PDW değeri preeklampsi ve kontrol grubunda sırasıyla,17,1±0,8 ve 18,7±1,2 bulundu ve iki grup arasında fark yoktu (P>0.05).SONUÇ: Bu çalışmada MPV değeri preeklampsi grubunda kontrol grubundan daha yüksek bulundu. Ortalama trombosit sayısı, PCT ve PDW değerleri ise benzer bulundu.
Abstract
OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to evaluate the platelet parameters in pre-eclamptic and normal pregnant women.METHODS: Sixty pre-eclamptic women and 75 healthy pregnant women as the control group wereenrolled to this retrospective study. The platelet count, mean platelet volume (MPV), platelet crit (PCT) and platelet distribution width (PDW) of the groups were compared. Independent sample t-test was used to compare the parameters between two groups.RESULTS: The mean age of the pre-eclamptic group was 29.2±5.6 and the control group was 28.9±4.5. There was no statistically signifi cant difference between the two groups in terms of the age and gestational weeks (P>0.05). The mean platelet count (x103/μL) was 225,5±88,8 in the pre-eclamptic group and 231,7±45,8 in the control group and there was no statistically signifi cant difference between the groups (P>0.05). The meanvalue of PCT was 0.20±0.08 in the pre-eclamptic group and 0.20±0.04 in the control group, and there was no signifi cant difference between two groups (P>0.05). It was found that the mean MPV value of the pre-eclamptic group was higher than the control group (9,6±1.6 vs 8.8±1.2, respectively) and there was a statistically signifi cantdifference between the groups (P=0.012). The mean PDW value of the pre-eclamptic group and the control group were 17.1±0.8 vs 18.7±1.2, respectively, and there was no statistically signifi cant difference between the groups (P>0,05).CONCLUSION: The mean value of MPV was higher in the pre-eclamptic group than the control group. However, the mean platelet count, mean values of PCT and PDW of the pre-eclamptic and normal pregnant women were similar.
