Vulvada derin yerleşimli lipom

Abstract

Lipomlar mezenkimal dokudan kaynaklanan en sık görülen iyi huylu tümörlerdir. Bu tümörler sıklıkla sırtın üst yarısında, boyunda, omuzlarda, karın, kalça ve ekstremitelerin proksimalinde subkutan yerleşimli bulunurlar; yumuşak, mobil ve ağrısızdırlar. Ancak vulvada bu tümörlerin görülmesi oldukça nadirdir ve bu nedenle literatürde az sayıda vulvar lipom olgusu rapor edilmiştir. Bu olguda 35 yaşındaki, yaklaşık 1 yıldır sebat eden ve son birkaç ayda büyüme eğilimi gösteren vulvar kitle nedeniyle kliniğimize başvuran hasta sunulmaktadır. Kitleye total eksizyon yapılmış ve 13,5x 7,5x 3 cm boyutlarındaki kitle mikroskopik incelemede lipom olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Bu olgu vulvar kitlelerin ayırıcı tanısında lipomların gözardı edilmemesi gerektiğini hatırlatmakta ve erken dönemde cerrahi ile eksizyonun yapılmasının önemini vurgulamaktadır.

Deep-localized lipoma of the vulva

Abstract

Lipomas are the most frequently seen benign tumors which are arising from mesenchymal tissue. They are found over the nape of the neck, upper back, shoulders, abdomen, buttocks and proximal portions of the extremities and they are soft on palpation, movable and painless. However, the presence of these tumors in the vulva are very rare and therefore a small number of vulvar lipoma cases have been reported in the literature. In this case, it is presented a 35 years old patient who had committed to our clinic with the complaint of vulvar mass which is ongoing approximatetly one year and has been growing in the last couple of months. Total excision of the mass was made and the mass which has the dimension of 13,5x 7,5x 3 cm is evaluated as lipom in the microscopic evaluation. This case reminds us that vulvar lipoma should be kept in mind in the differential diagnosis of the other vulvar masses and it underlines the importance of the surgical excision in the early period.
