Abstract

Meş erozyonu, transobturator tape (TOT) uygulaması sonrası görülen nadir bir komplikasyondur. Meş erozyonu küçük bir alanda görüldüğünde vajinal topikal östrojen tedavisi ile giderilebilmekte ancak geniş alanlı meş erozyonunda ya da enfekte meş varlığında meşin eksize edilmesi önerilmektedir. Burada, transobturator tape uygulaması sonrasında vajina ve ciltte meş erozyonu gelişen bir olguda lokal meş eksizyonu ve vajinal mukoza onarımı sunulmuştur.

Skin and vaginal erosion after adjustable miduretral sling operation

Abstract

Mesh erosion is a rare complication of transobturator tape (TOT) procedure. Mesh erosion can be treated with a topical estrogen therapy if it is seen in a small area, however excision of the mesh is necessary when the erosion is larger or if any infection is present. In this case, we report a patient who had a mesh erosion after TOT procedure. She was managed with surgical excision of the mesh and primary closure of the wound after adequate debridement.
