Abstract

Literature is influenced by the cultural, linguistic, historical, social, and economic fabric of the era it is embedded in, while also serving as a mirror to it. Writers and poets, as the subjects of this craft, produce works that reflect the sensitivities of their time. Therefore, it is impossible to consider a poet independently of the society to which they belong. To comprehend this phenomenon, it is essential to grasp not only the sociological structure of the period but also its concepts. The world of literature, enriched with its unique metaphors, makes this interpretation more challenging. One way to overcome this difficulty is to conduct a text-based lexicographical study. The compilation of the divan of Aziz Mahmud Hüdâyî, a prominent Sufi figure of the 17th century, within the scope of TEBDİZ (Index and Functional Dictionary of Historical and Literary Texts) is a valuable contribution to the literature of Turkish Sufi poetry

Aziz Mahmûd-ı Hüdâyî Hayatı Poetikası Dîvân’ının Bağlamlı Dizin ve İşlevsel Sözlüğü

Abstract

Edebiyat, mündemiç olduğu devrin kültürel, dilsel, tarihsel, toplumsal ve ekonomik dokusundan müteessir olur, aynı zamanda ona ayna tutar. Bu işin öznesi olan edebiyatçılar/şairler, içinde bulundukları zamanın hassasiyetlerine yönelik eserler telif ederler. Bu nedenle, bir şairin mensubu olduğu toplumdan müstakil olarak ele alınması mümkün değildir. Bu olguyu anlamlandırabilmek için, dönemin sosyolojik yapısının yanında kavramlarını da idrak etmek zaruridir. Edebiyatın kendine mahsus birtakım meteforlarla zenginleşen dünyası bu anlamlandırmayı güçleştirir. Bu güçlüğü aşmanın bir yolu da metni esas alan metin içi sözlük çalışması yapmaktır. 17. Yüzyılın önemli bir sufi siması olarak Aziz Mahmud Hüdâyî’nin divanın TEBDİZ (Tarih ve Edebiyat Metinleri Bağlamlı Dizin ve İşlevsel Sözlüğü) kapsamında hazırlanmış olması Türk tasavvuf şiiri literatürü için kıymetli bir katkıdır.
