Neue Inschriften aus Tavium. Die Sammlung von Büyüknefes

Abstract

Im Juli und August 2018 hat der Autor zahlreiche neue Steindokumente mit Inschriften aufgenommen, die das Museum von Yozgat aus den ländlichen Siedlungen des ehemaligen Territoriums von Tavium zusammengetragen hat. Hier werden elf dieser Neufunde publiziert und analysiert. Sie gehören alle zum Bestand der Sammlung des Dorfes Büyüknefes, das sich in unmittelbarer Nähe des antiken Tavium befindet. Der größte Teil der Sammlung wird von Grabinschriften eingenommen. Sie stammen mehrheitlich aus dem 5. und 6. nachchristlichen Jahrhundert und weisen nahezu ausnahmslos dieselben ikonographischen Besonderheiten sowie dieselben Inschriftenformulare auf. Mit dem neuen Inschriftenmaterial vermehrt sich unser Wissen über Tavium und Galatia besonders in der frühbyzantinischen Zeit.

New Inscriptions from Tavium. The Büyüknefes Collection

Abstract

In July and August 2018, during the surveys under the supervision of the museum in Yozgat a big number of monuments containing inscriptions has been found. One part of this research was carried out in Büyüknefes, a small village adjacent to the ancient polis Tavium. There the museum established a collection of stone objects, which are permanently being found in and around the village. In this article eleven hitherto unpublished epigraphic monuments are presented and analysed. Tombstones make up the biggest part of the discovered material: originating from the 5th or 6th century, almost all of them show the same iconographic peculiarities as well as the same formula of the inscription. However, the new funerary texts contribute to improve our knowledge of Tavium and Galatia especially during the early Byzantine period.

Tavium’dan Yeni Yazıtlar: Büyüknefes Koleksiyonu

Abstract

Yozgat Müzesi’nin denetiminde 2018 yılı Temmuz ve Ağustos aylarında yürütülen yüzey araştırmalarında üzerilerinde yazıt taşıyan çok sayıda anıt bulunmuştur. Bu araştırmaların bir kısmı antik Tavium kentinin hemen yakınındaki Büyüknefes köyünde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Müze burada hepsi köyün içinde veya civarında bulunmuş taş eserlerin toplandığı bir açık hava sergisi oluşturmuştur. Makalede yayımsız on bir adet yazıtlı anıt tanıtılmakta ve analiz edilmektedir. Buluntuların büyük bir kısmını İS 5. veya 6. yüzyıllara tarihlenen ve neredeyse tamamı aynı ikonografik özelliklere ve aynı yazıt formulasyonuna sahip mezar taşları oluşturmaktadır. Makalede tanıtılan yeni mezar yazıtları özellikle Bizans Dönemi’nde Tavium kenti ve Galatia bölgesi hakkındaki bilgilerin artmasına yardımcı olmaktadır.
