Kardiyopulmoner Resüsitasyon Eğitimine Etki Eden Faktörler: Sakarya Örneği

Year 2023, Volume: 5 Issue: 1, 38 - 41, 01.03.2023
https://doi.org/10.38175/phnx.1228219

Abstract

Bulgular: Katılımcıların yaş ortalaması 25,06±3,45 yıl ve %85’i kadındı.

Factors Affecting Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Training: The Case of Sakarya

Year 2023, Volume: 5 Issue: 1, 38 - 41, 01.03.2023
https://doi.org/10.38175/phnx.1228219

Abstract

Objective: In this study, it was aimed to investigate the factors affecting the success of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training for non-physician healthcare professionals.
Material and Methods: This study was carried out by evaluating the pre-test and post-test forms filled by 285 nurses and midwives who participated in the CPR training held in September 2021 under the coordination and responsibility of Sakarya Provincial Health Directorate. Emergency Medical Services Branch. Obtained data were analyzed with IBM SPSS 21 program.
Results: The mean age of the participants was 25.06±3.45 and 85% were female. It was determined that the participants' (n=285) post-test success scores were 74.84±20.11. This result was found to be statistically significantly higher than the pre-test success score (38.35±17.15) (p<0.001). While professional seniority and education did not affect the result in the pre-test (p=0.258, p=0.906, respectively), it was determined that previous education and self-confidence contributed statistically (p=0.006, p=0.006, p= 0.006). =0.906). = 0.02). . It was determined that the training given increased the success levels in all parameters evaluated.
Conclusion: While previous trainings contributed positively to CPR and self-confidence in the pre-test phase, professional seniority and vocational training had no effect. In the post-test phase, while there is no parameter that affects success, success levels increase in all parameters, especially in questions that require numerical information.
