Abstract
This research is conducted so as to analyse the relations between individuals’ leisure attitudes and leisure motivation and to determine which variables affect leisure attitudes and leisure motivation. Sample of the research consists of 525 persons, 239 women and 219 men who are chosen by convenience sampling method and live within provincial borders of Bolu and Düzce cities. Pearson correlation coefficient is calculated in an attempt to question the relations between leisure attitude and its sub-dimensions and leisure motivation and its sub-dimensions in the research. In order to determine which independent variables affect leisure attitude and leisure motivation dependent variables and its sub-dimensions, Independent Samples T-Test and One Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) which are among parametric tests are utilised. As a result of statistical analyses, it is revealed that age, income status and occupation variables have effect on leisure attitude and leisure motivation. Abundance of positive correlation is confirmed between sub-dimensions of leisure attitude and sub-dimensions of leisure motivation. As a result, leisure motivation and leisure attitude can be expressed as two concepts that are both affected by other independent variables and affect each other by having significant relations with each other.
