Quantitative View of Academic CVs of Aviation Management Department Members at State Universities in Turkey

Abstract

The aviation industry has experienced rapid growth and has reached an important position after significant changes in 1945. With the growth in the aviation industry, a notable increase in the number of universities providing education in the aviation field, and the need for academicians has risen gradually. This rise has had a positive impact on meeting the sector’s expectations and increasing the employment rate of graduates. This study aimed to examine the academic background of academicians in the aviation management departments of state universities. The research evaluated the training of the academicians and their relation with aviation to meet the qualified personnel need of the sector. Moreover, the study analysed the academic backgrounds of academicians who work in the aviation management department from 17 different state universities accepting graduate-level students in 2021.
