DIFFERENT OPINIONS ON OTTOMAN AND GERMAN POLITICAL MILITARY AND ECONOMIC RELATIONS
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to surf through history andemphasize some of the important events which took place between theOttoman Empire and German Kingdoms like Prussia, Kingdom of Bavariaup to the ending of WWI. Von der Goltz. German Deutsche Bank opened a branch in Istanbul and importof German military equipment and goods started.2In 1888 Germans were given the right to operate the Istanbul-Izmit railwayand extend it to Ankara. The portion from Eskişehir to Konya was completedin 1896. The plan was to complete the railway line all the way to Bagdad andBasra. Britain was competing with Germany to get the concession of thisrailway but the project was given to Germans. These interactive military, social, cultural and economic relations between theOttoman Empire and German Kingdoms got stronger each decade more thanthe previous and fortified the ties between the two countries. Relations between German and Turkish States and people have been rathercalm, cooperative and beneficial to all parties at all times
