Bayezid II Public Bath belonging to Bayezid Complex is an example of the oldest ones in Istanbul. The city has been seriously effected by many earthquakes throughout centuries, but the bath functioned till the first half of the 20th century and survived today. The restoration implementations for the bath started in 2000 are continuing. Geological, geophysical and geotechnical parameters about the ground were required for the preparation of the restoration project of the bath. For this purpose, geological, geophysical, geotechnical and geometrical parameters have been derived by drilling and geophysical measurement seismic refraction techniques. Geotechnical and geophysical engineering have plenty of shared subjects in ground studies’ field. In this case study, the significance of benefiting from geophysical methods in geotechnical ground investigation is emphasized by using seismic refraction method and the related parameters are formulated
