Abstract
China has followed a policy based on the principles of equality and friendship with African countries to serve Chinese and African countries respective goals in both the political and economic spheres. The participation of Chinese military PLA through peacekeeping operations in Africa have rised United States's anxiety that PLA may Put obstacles in front of the role of AFRICOM forces in black continent. The United States is seeking through joint economic forums with the African states - according to the principle of equality - to build a new mechanism enable United States to compete with China in Africa. The United States should promote greater private investment in Africa. Competition from American industry will force Chinese enterprises to offer better deals to African governments
