This paper attempts to shed light on the action plan which Turkey began to apply in order to open up to Africa. The paper investigates thehistorical background of mutual relations and the growing importance of Africa in the world order in light of the attevtion that Africa had from the major countries of the world. The paper mainly addresses the role of Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency TİKA in the Turkish-African relations through various events and growing development support it provides to Africa. In its conclusion the paper recommends opening of further TİKAoffices in the African countries; to achieve more efficiency in relations between Turkey and Africa
