Abstract
After the failed coup attempt on July 15th, Turkey set a new security doctrine that includes cross-border military intervention and initiated the operation Euphrates Shield in Syrian territory in order to eliminate ISIS and PKK elements, which are threats to Turkey's national security. After this Syrian opposition groups which have been fortified with Turkey's and Turkish Armed Forces' support. The TAF and the opposition have turned to Al-Bab after the seizure of the Kuveyrk plain, including Dabiq and Sevran. After Al-Bab will be liberaited, Manbij will be the next target. It is in the effort of Turkey to ultimately defend its border security with the operation Euphrates Shield, to prevent the PKK/PYD from consolidating its cantons and to create a safe zone for military and civilians both on the 90 km long and 40 km wide area
