This study examines the stages of Turkey's relations with NATO during its 60-year-plus history, the main difficulties they faced, the extent to which the parties were able to meet their mutual needs, the potential directions in which such relations may develop. the difficulties that will accompany them, and the due measures to be taken in order to avoid such difficulties. The study presents a range of proposals such as the clear and explicit assertion that each NATO member is responsible for defending Turkey if its territory is attacked militarily
