introduction to the cultural adaptation that explains the acculturating tendencies of local people and the immigrant community. The second part provides statistical information and analysis on the forced displacement of Syrians since the end of 2017. while the third discusses a PhD thesis' conclusion concerning the cultural adaptation and mental health of Syrian women who had immigrated to Turkey under the brunt of war. Among the most important results of this thesis is that women tend to be more inclined toward integration into the host culture and that religious likeness is one of the most important facilitators of cultural adaptation
