This paper examines the situation in Kashmir arising from the Indian Government's unilateral decision to repeal Article 370 of the Indian Constitution, which grants Jammu and Kashmir a special status, dividing it into two federal territories. It also, discusses the local, regional, Islamic and international circumstances and reactions surrounding it, placing this in a historical and geopolitical context, highlighting the significance of the timing of the resolution and the justification of the government. It tries to understand the most important political and security implications for the future of Kashmir in particular, and India in general, such as the possibility of a popular revolt against Indian rule in the state, or a possible war between India and Pakistan, and how would India handle these possibilities and their aftermath
