On October 17, 2019, a massive popular uprising erupted in Lebanon, after the Lebanese authorities announced their intention to impose a tax on the use of the social media app WhatsApp. This order was like the straw that broke the camel’s back, unleashing a wide wave of protests that started to grow and expand its demands, up to the call to topple the governing authority in Lebanon with all its political symbols through the famous slogan “All means all.” The paper below discusses the Lebanese uprising, its circumstances, causes, demands, and how political actors in Lebanon deal with this uprising in addition to its consequences and prospects for success
