The current study deals with the recent maritime agreement between Turkey and Libya. It focuses on how Turkey started preparations for it with studies and maps since 2004. While the paper explains the results and implications of the agreement, it is clear the agreement was made according to international law. The research clarifies many cases and decisions taken by the International Court of Justice. Also, the study points to another issue. Some countries like Egypt, Lebanon and “Israel” could gain more marine spaces if they agreed with Turkey instead of agreeing with South Cyprus
