Abstract

تتناول هذه الدراسة تقييمًا عسكريًّا للحرب الروسية الأوكرانية بعد مرور عام على الحرب، وتركز على الخسائر العسكرية والإمكانات العسكرية للطرفين، والدعم الغربي لأوكرانيا، والإستراتيجية العسكرية لكلا الطرفين، وترى الدراسة أن ظروف الحرب الحالية تنذر بفترة طويلة من الاستنزاف. والطرف الذي لا يستطيع تعويض خسائره قد يضطر للجوء إلى الدفاع الإستراتيجي أولًا، ثمّ التراجع الإستراتيجي. كما ترى الدراسة أن الإرادة الشعبية في القتال للأوكرانيين أقوى من الإرادة الشعبية للروس، وهذا يعطي بعدًا معنويًّا إضافيًّا للقوات الأوكرانية، مع ملاحظة أنّ استمرار اعتماد أوكرانيا على الدعم الغربي نقطة ضعف لها.

Evaluation of the Ukrainian-Russian War after One Year

Abstract

This study examines a military assessment of the Russian-Ukrainian war a year after the war, and focuses on military losses and capabilities of both sides, Western support for Ukraine, and the military strategy of both sides. The study believes that the conditions of the current war portend a long period of attrition, a party that cannot compensate for its losses may have to resort to strategic defense first, and then strategic retreat. The study also believes that the popular will to fight for Ukrainians is stronger than the popular will of the Russians, and this gives an additional moral dimension to the Ukrainian forces, noting that Ukraine's continued dependence on Western support is a weakness for it.
