Russia's Withdrawal from the Grain Corridor Agreement

Year 2023, Volume: 12 Issue: 4, 173 - 194, 01.12.2023
https://doi.org/10.36360/1560-012-004-011

Abstract

The current study addresses the effects of Russia's withdrawal from the Grain Corridor Agreement and the future of the agreement, as the global food crisis was one of the main problems that accompanied the war in Ukraine. The food crisis has led to food shortages and a sharp rise in global food prices. Several parties, including Türkiye and the United Nations, took the initiative to reach the border corridor agreement and were able to extend it three times. The study believes that it is important to evaluate the justifications for the reasons presented by Russia, as well as the future of this important agreement, which carries great importance in the context of preventing the global food crisis.

Year 2023, Volume: 12 Issue: 4, 173 - 194, 01.12.2023
https://doi.org/10.36360/1560-012-004-011
