Abstract

Çalışmanın amacı dirsek taşıma açısı ile kavrama kuvveti arasındaki ilişkiyi öğrenmektir. Çalışmaya Maçka Ömer Burhanoğlu Fizik Tedavi ve Rehabilitasyon Hastanesi’nde 18–65 yaş aralığında sağlıklı 60 birey dahil edildi. Katılan tüm bireylerin sağ, sol dirsek taşıma açıları ve kavrama kuvvetleri ölçüldü. El kavrama kuvvetleri ölçümünde Camry marka dijital göstergeli el dinamometresi kullanıldı. Katılımcıların %50’si kadın (n=30), %50’si erkekti (n=30). Yaş ortalamaları kadınlarda 27,63 ± 6,72 iken erkeklerde bu ortalama 31 ± 11,06 idi. Kadınların vücut ağırlığı ortalaması ise 58,16 ± 8,27 kilogram iken erkeklerin vücut ağırlığı ortalaması 78,5 ± 8,23 kilogramdı. Bununla beraber katılımcıların %75’i sigara kullanmıyorken %25’i sigara kullanmakta; %91’inde sağ el baskınken %9’unda ise sol el baskındır.

Abstract

The aim of the study is to learn the relationship between elbow bearing angle and grip strength. Sixty healthy individuals between the ages of 18 and 65 in Maçka Ömer Burhanoğlu Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Hospital were included in the study. Right and left elbow bearing angles and grip strengths of all participating individuals were measured. Camry brand digital display hand dynamometer was used to measure hand grip strength. In total, 50% of the participants were female (n=30) and 50% were male (n=30). While the mean age was 27,63 ± 6,72 in women, it was 31 ± 11,06 in men. While the mean body weight of the women was 58,16 ± 8,27 kg, the mean body weight of the men was 78,5 ± 8,23 kg. Therewithal, while 75% of the participants do not smoke, 25% do; 91% are right-handed, while 9% are left-handed. Statistical Package for Social Sciences 22.0 program was used for the results. When the results were analyzed, it has been found that the grip strength was affected by parameters such as gender, age, body weight. While there was a relationship between the elbow bearing angle and grip strength, which was the main purpose of the study, in the right hand, there was no relationship in the left hand.
