Investigating The Relationship Between Life Satisfaction and Psychological Resilience Among University Students

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to examine the relationship between life satisfaction and psychological resilience among university students. Method: The research was conducted using a relational screening model. A total of 428 students from Sakarya University participated in the study. Data were collected using the Brief Psychological Resilience Scale and the Life Satisfaction Scale, and analyses were conducted using parametric tests and correlation analysis. Findings: Gender significantly influenced psychological resilience, with male students exhibiting higher levels of psychological resilience. Income level also affected life satisfaction, as students with higher income levels reported greater life satisfaction scores. A positive and significant relationship was found between psychological resilience and life satisfaction (r = 0.280, p < 0.001). Conclusion: Life satisfaction among university students is associated with psychological resilience. These findings suggest that interventions aimed at enhancing psychological resilience may positively impact students' life satisfaction.
