The Role Of Universites Of Development In A Country: Example Of Eastern Southern Anatolia Universities

Population is important in a society. Nevertheless, uneducated and unhealty population is only burden because they are consumers. Good qualified population serves accelerating the development and plays a leading manufacturer role. The most important way is also no doubt that the quality and training quality people is to have a good education system. Therefore, universities are the top educational institutions in the country and have a say in development.    Universities are an indispensable element that increases and makes the information more qualified people. At the same time raising the living standards of individuals is an institutıon.             Today, the information that forms the basis of commmunity education is a source of strength and values for development. Quality of education in a society where people naturally have the information and technology age we live in, it is a criterion that determines the development of the country.

            In this study, the importance of the university as a priority for development will be highlighted then be examined in the case of univesities in Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia.

Bir toplumda nüfus çok önemlidir. Ancak eğitilmemiş niteliksiz ve sağlıksız bir nüfus sadece yüktür, çünkü tüketicidir. İyi eğitilmiş nüfus kalkınmayı hızlandırıcı ve üretici bir lokomotif vazifesini görmektedir.   Nitelikli ve kaliteli nüfus yetiştirmenin de en önemli yolu şüphesiz ki iyi bir eğitim sistemine sahip olmaktır. Bu nedenle üniversiteler ülke ve bölge kalkınmasında söz sahibi olan üst düzey eğitim veren kurumlardır. Üniversite, toplum içerisinde insanların bilgilerini artıran ve bu insanları daha nitelikli hale getiren vazgeçilmez bir unsur olduğu kadar, iktisadi kalkınmanın bir sonucu olarak da artan mal ve hizmet üretimine olan talebi arttırarak bireylerin yaşam düzeyini yükselten bir kurumdur. Bugün bilgi toplumunun temelini oluşturan eğitim, kalkınma için bir güç ve değer kaynağıdır. İçinde bulunduğumuz bilgi ve teknoloji çağında doğal olarak bir toplumun insanlarının sahip olduğu eğitimin niteliği, o ülkenin gelişmişlik düzeyini belirleyen bir ölçüttür.

            Bu çalışmada öncelikli olarak kalkınma için üniversitelerin önemi vurgulanacak daha sonra da Doğu ve Güneydoğu Anadolu Bölgesinde bulunan üniversiteler durumu incelenecektir.
