Role of Participation Banking System A Review on the Prevention of Financial Crises

Abstract

Participation banking; operating as a form of interest-free banking in Turkey; although first emerged as a requirement of Islam, now can be seen as a substitute for the traditional financial system, which is considered as the cause of financial crises. Because, the products offered by participation banking basically are primarily intended to stimulate supply i.e. production. On the contrary, the conventional banking financing method, by previously creating demand, usually fosters the imbalance process between supply and demand. And this is leading to economic and financial crises, emerging in a variety of ways. In this study, to avoid problems such as the recent global financial crises, which stems from the traditional financial system and which impacts are still continuing; it is tried to give the products offered by Islamic Banking types of financial systems and also to put forward the power of these products in in order to prevent financial crises

FİNANSAL KRİZLERİN ÖNLENMESİNDE KATILIM BANKACILIĞI SİSTEMİNİN ROLÜ ÜZERİNE BİR DEĞERLENDİRME

Abstract

Faizsiz bankacılık şekli olarak Türkiye’de faaliyet gösteren Katılım Bankacılığı, öncelikle İslam Dininin gereği olarak talep edildiği için ortaya çıksa da; yaşanan finansal krizlerin nedeni olarak görülen geleneksel finansal sistemi ikame etme amaçlı olarak da görülebilmektedir. Çünkü temel olarak katılım bankacılığının sunduğu ürünler, öncelikle arzı yani üretimi teşvik etmeye yöneliktir. Aksine geleneksel bankacılığın finansman yöntemleri ise önceden talep yaratarak, genellikle arz ve talep arasındaki dengesizlik sürecini beslemektedir. Bu da çeşitli şekillerde ortaya çıkan ekonomik buhranlara, finansal krizlere yol açmaktadır. Bu çalışmada da, geleneksel finansal sistemden kaynaklanan ve etkileri devam eden küresel finans krizi gibi sorunların yaşanmaması için faizsiz bankacılık tipi finansal sistemlerin sunduğu ürünler ve bunların finansal krizleri önleyebilme gücü verilmeye çalışılacaktır
