YATIRIM MALI VE ARA MAL İTHALATININ BÜYÜMEYE ETKİSİNİN TÜRKİYE EKONOMİSİ PERSPEKTİFİNDE ANALİZİ

Year 2021, Volume: 10 Issue: 4, 321 - 334, 31.12.2021

Abstract

ANALYSIS OF THE EFFECTS OF IMPORTS OF INVESTMENT GOODS AND INTERMEDIATE GOODS ON GROWTH IN THE PERSPECTIVE OF THE TURKISH ECONOMY

Year 2021, Volume: 10 Issue: 4, 321 - 334, 31.12.2021

Abstract

In growth and development, the increase in the country's production power and the increase in the production power of the country and its investments have a great importance. Intermediate and investment goods are also among the important inputs of production. Countries have to import some inputs according to their national possibilities and the products they want to produce. Countries that are foreign-dependent especially in terms of energy, which is the main input of production, have to grow with a production structure that is dependent on imported inputs. Turkey, which is one of the largest economies in the world, uses a significant amount of imported inputs in its production, especially in oil and natural gas imports. In other words, imported inputs have a significant share in Turkey's growth. The statistical analyzes made in this study, which was carried out from the perspective of the Turkish economy, also support this judgment. It has been concluded that especially imports of intermediate goods have a significant impact on Turkey's growth.
