Abstract

Written by Melih Cevdet Anday, based on a real event, the play "Insiders" is a play with political and social content. In the play, in which three symbolic characters, namely the Commissioner, the Prisoner and the Girl, features the resistance of a teacher who has been imprisoned for three hundred and forty-five days. During the game, the resistance is broken in places, but the prisoner continues his resistance by gathering his strength again. One of the main issues that we come across in the play is the power and accordingly the power and the way this power is used, which also forms the basis of the work.
After giving a general information about the concept of power, the state, intellectuals and society represented by the characters in the play are examined whether they gain power or lose their resistance and become obedient. The forms of power that the characters use while establishing power are also emphasized and shown with examples from the work.

İÇERDEKİLER’DE İKTİDAR: DEVLET, AYDIN, TOPLUM

Abstract

Melih Cevdet Anday tarafından gerçek bir olaydan hareketle kaleme alınan İçerdekiler oyunu, siyasi ve toplumsal içerikli bir oyundur. Komiser, Tutuklu ve Kız olmak üzere üç sembolik karakterin yer aldığı oyunda, bir bildiri sebebiyle üç yüz kırk beş gündür tutuklu olan bir öğretmenin direnişine yer verilir. Oyun boyunca söz konusu direniş yer yer kırılır fakat Tutuklu, yeniden gücünü toplayarak direnişine devam eder. Oyunda karşımıza çıkan temel meselelerden biri ise, çalışmanın da temelini de oluşturan, iktidar ve buna bağlı olarak güç ve bu iktidarın/gücün kullanılış şeklidir.
İktidar kavramına dair genel bir bilgi verilmesi ardından oyundaki karakterlerin temsil ettiği devlet, aydın ve toplumun iktidarlaşması yahut direncini kaybederek itaatkâr bir hal alması incelenmiştir. Karakterlerin iktidar kurarken kullandıkları gücün şekilleri üzerinde de durulmuş ve eser içerisinden örneklerle gösterilmiştir.
