A SUCCESS STORY IN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT: TAIWAN

Taiwan is one of the countries that draw attention to this region in the context of the importance of the East Asia Pacific region in the 20th century. Taiwan has achieved remarkable success in information technology, thanks to its stable economic policies despite the fact that it is not recognized by most governments. The purpose of this study is to investigate how Taiwan is now one of the major countries producing information technology and to bring the findings to the scientific world. In the study, source scanning method was used. As a result of the study, it was seen that Taiwan's effective position, with the government's support for labor-intensive sectors and education services, was influenced by factors such as primitive taylorism, fordism and flexible specialization.

İKTİSADİ KALKINMADA BİR BAŞARI ÖYKÜSÜ: TAYVAN

Öz

Tayvan, Doğu Asya Pasifik Bölgesi’nin, 20. Yüzyılda kazandığı önem çerçevesinde, bu bölgede dikkat çeken ülkelerden biridir. Çoğu devlet tarafından tanınmamasına rağmen, uyguladığı istikrarlı ekonomi politikaları sayesinde, yüksek büyüme performansı gösteren Tayvan, bilgi teknolojisi konusunda önemli başarılar sağlamıştır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Tayvan’ın günümüzde bilgi teknolojisi üreten önemli ülkelerden biri haline nasıl geldiğini araştırmak ve elde edilen bulguları bilim dünyasına kazandırmaktır. Çalışmada kaynak tarama yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda, Tayvan’ın bu etkin konuma gelmesinde, hükümetin emek yoğun sektörlere ve eğitim hizmetlerine verdiği destek ile ilkel taylorizm, fordizm ve esnek uzmanlaşma gibi faktörlerin etkin olduğu görülmüştür.
